Black Hat and DEF CON, two of the premier events in the information security and technology industry, are coming up. And this year, three of us will be checking out DEF CON, the more hacker-focused of the two events. In preparation for the conference, we have been reading up on precautions for attendees who don't want to get rocked by exposing themselves and their information to the curious or nefarious. Common tips include not connecting to wifi, turning off all devices when not in use, and not using ATMs anywhere near the events. Some of our folks are even using burner devices.
