Remote, yet Connected: Announcing the updated Truss Distributed Playbook!

We are thrilled to share the updated Truss Distributed Playbook. By now, most of us have had our lives radically changed because of COVID-19. We’re learning where to set up a home office, how to create work boundaries, and how to keep track of raised hands in a video call so that everyone can contribute. Beyond that, we’re recognizing where our old practices and norms have to transform in order to build thriving organizations for the future.

While Truss has been distributed / remote since 2012, we’ve also had to improve, modify and reassess our practices after COVID-19. As a result, we decided to update our Distributed Playbook to incorporate our new policies and practices. We’ve also added to our web version, and made this playbook available in PDF form so that you can print or share the document freely.

While we write about tools, the lasting value of the playbook is how to build systems, an infrastructure, and a mindset to support your employees, culture, and customers for the long haul. There’s no one “formula”, but we hope the scope of our playbook helps stimulate reflective conversations so your organization can start to thrive in this new environment.

We’ll continue to update our practices in the ongoing series, Remote, Yet Connected. If you have questions or comments, we’d love to hear from you! Good luck, stay safe, and hope your organizations stay healthy and at home.
