Research and Design
Monica is a User Experience designer with a deep love of how spaces (public and digital) facilitate how we connect with one another. She's used design principles to create physical spaces, digital products, and organizational processes by focusing her energy on how to best involve end users given the problem she's untangling. As someone who's deeply curious about all parts of the design practice, though she spends most of her time synthesizing research and solving complex service design problems, she also dabbles in code and loves a good afternoon of prototyping.
Outside of Truss, Monica teaches UX design part-time at General Assembly, helping career-changers and design enthusiasts get a better grasp of the field. She also spends time keeping her too-many-to-count ferments thriving in her Brooklyn apartment and practicing her mandolin.
