Namibia joins Truss as a software engineer with experience working as a technical consultant in San Francisco, CA and backend engineer in Melbourne, VIC, Au. Prior to Truss, Namibia's technical consulting work involved helping clients to solve technical challenges, upgrading applications and improving their functionality, and guiding clients to technical decisions that best met their needs.
Before making the career transition to software engineer, Namibia worked as an academic researcher in the health and sciences field. Her research specialized in utilizing technology to inform positive health behavior. Namibia makes use of her analytical skills on a daily basis when developing software and solving problems as an engineer. In addition to her love for software engineering, Namibia is passionate about improving tech hiring by creating a more inclusive hiring process. You may find her giving talks in the Bay or abroad, or developing training tools for engineers who conduct interviews.
