Erik Burgess
Security Engineering
Erik has had a passion for all things security since his youth when he first became interested in computers. His interest in information security as a career began with the US Navy where he worked as an in flight avionics technician. His career in security was solidified at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, where he worked in policy and compliance as an Information System Security Official. Erik came to Truss from 18F, where he was dedicated to helping improve Government through technology and innovation.
In his spare time, Erik gives back to the security community by helping to organize security conferences and mentoring those looking to break into the field. He can also be found playing video games, hiking in the wilderness, engaging in locksport, and practicing his photography skills.
