Shaneka is known for traveling off the beaten path. This is exemplified most in her professional journey. Getting her start in catastrophe analytics, she spent the beginning of her career analyzing hurricanes and earthquakes, working closely with vendors to understand their predictive modeling and apply it to her organization's forecasting. Known for her attention to detail and ability to articulate complex information in layman’s terms a major project landed her in a more technical position and that is where her journey in the tech world really began. Since then, she has trekked from retail to nonprofit, from nonprofit to auditing, from auditing to information resources, all so that she could land here at Truss. She spends her free time running after her son as he’s always up for a new adventure and trying to convince him she is as cool as all his friends think.
