Trussel Tuesday Spotlight

Trussel Tuesday: Ren Delos Reyes

We’ve sprung into April which means it’s time for another Trussel Tuesday highlight.

As a human centered and fully remote company we are always looking for ways to learn more about the people who make up our team. At the heart of Truss lies our incredibly talented and dedicated staff who consistently show up and get things done. Each Trussel comes with their own set of unique skills that contribute to the diversity and betterment of our organization.

This month’s Trussel Tuesday features Ren Delos Reyes. Ren is one of our Infrasec engineers and has truly made an impact on our Infrasec team. She’s made such an impact that coworkers have made multiple custom emojis of her!

How long have you been with the company?

4 years

What Practice are you in?

InfraSec

What made you join Truss?

The people. I've never had interviews before Truss that felt like conversations instead of interrogations.

What is your favorite part about working in your particular field?

Making a better and smoother development experience for my application engineers.

What is your favorite Truss memory?

That time I re-introduced myself in Prac with "LOL GENDER" and was met with overwhelming positivity and acceptance.

What has surprised you most about working here?

The tremendous amount of empathy. I’ve gone through a number of personal struggles during my time here and I’ve never been shamed, directly or indirectly, and have been given space, time, and understanding.

Which one of our values resonates with you most?

Pay Attention. Paying attention is how we put those other core values in action. We can’t be adaptable, build alliances, and so on without the ability to pay attention to what’s going on around us and attentively listen.
